Reading Books for Students

As a student, reading is usually something you do because you have to – not because you want to. Whilst you study it’s important that you make time for yourself and find some entertainment outside of your student accommodation and university activities.

Here are some pretty awesome reads by various non-fiction authors which should help you with a little downtime. Great places for students to read – besides their student accommodation include; cafes with a good cup of coffee, a bar if you want a quite drink by yourself and trains or buses – depending on how you travel to university campus.

John Grisham – is a great legal suspense, drama, thriller writer. The first of Grisham’s books to read is called The Firm. The Firm is the book that made Grisham known. Released in 1991, it quickly topped the bestsellers lists and was made into a major motion picture starring Tom Cruise. Read The Firm to see where it all started and why Grisham is as popular as he is today.

Steven King – is a master at suspense horror stories! If you don’t mind a good scare, then definitely get one of Steven King’s books. One of his most famous books is “The Shining”, which was also made into a major film shortly after the books release. Beware though, these books seriously raise hairs on the neck!

Tom Clancy – is a bestselling action novel writer. Hugely popular with a male audience, Tom Clancy’s books are often about spies, shadow government agencies and special military units on covert operations. Also check out some of the movies made once you’ve read his books – namely; The Sum of All Fears and Patriot Games.

Stephenie Meyer – Arguably one of the best vampire authors to date – Meyer’s books are about…. Vampires! Meyer’s first book Twilight is great reading for students and not just teenage girls. The Twilight series gets rave reviews so if you don’t have a book – here’s a good start.
