Student accommodation near Kelvin Grove

Here we have been banging on all this time about how great South Bank is, but we have forgotten to tell you how cool Kelvin Grove is.

Now we say Kelvin Grove is cool for many reasons, but mostly because it is home to QUT Kelvin Grove. It’s a good-looking uni campus set right on the top of a hill – with 360 degree views of Brisbane city and beyond.

It’s also just undergone a makeover. The uni campus has some really great new buildings including those that make up the Creative Industries Hub. It’s also now home to a precinct called the Kelvin Grove Urban Village.

The Kelvin Grove Urban Village has all kinds of retail shops and food outlets including a pharmacy, newsagent and travel agent plus a Woolworths supermarket and some delicious takeaway shops and restaurants.

It means that you can take a break from studying and enjoy some non-cafeteria food in a really nice setting, or pick up a few groceries and you won’t be late for class for doing so.

The other great thing about QUT Kelvin Grove is that it is in fact only four kilometres from Urbanest South Bank student accommodation.

To get there is easy. If you head over the Goodwill Bridge to the QUT Gardens Point Campus you can catch a free inter-campus shuttle bus direct to QUT Kelvin Grove. Otherwise you can jump on a bus at the South Bank busway station and go straight there in only ten minutes.
