Outlet shopping in Brisbane - and within a Students budget

If you’re a student on a budget, then you’ll probably hate paying full price for anything! If you’re not on a budget, then you’ve most likely been affected by the global financial crisis. If it’s a no to all of the above, then we hope you just like shopping!

South Bank and Brisbane are great places for your discount outlet shopping needs. You’ll be pleased to know there’s a lot of great surf brand manufacturers in the area, so lots of goods to be sold direct from factory. On top of this – there’s some great discount outlets called the Direct Factory Outlets (DFO), which is kind of like a big shopping mall, but outlets only!

Fortunately for South Bank students, there’s two DFO outlets close by – the first is Jindalee and the other is by Brisbane Airport. Some of the brands held out there you’re likely to recognize include; Billabong, Cue, Country Road, Dotti, Frat House, Witchery and Tommy Hilfiger to name a few. Not only is there shops for women, but for men as well as children if you’ve got younger siblings. It’s also a great place to gift shop as there’s home and kitchen stores also.

Trade Secret is another shopping visit you must make. This premium outlet offers designer clothing at up to 60% of the retail prices! Trade Secret has an extensive range of big-label fashion for the entire family. Babies, toddlers, teens, men, and women are all catered for with the low-cost, high-fashion brand clothing at Trade Secret. It also has a great selection of home wares at amazing prices. Trade Secret prides itself on supplying only quality garments and doesn't stock seconds or samples. With new stock arriving daily, this is one outlet store well worth dropping into regularly.

So – check out these must see destinations for student shoppers who like to save a few pennies for a rainy day. After all, why should you ever pay full price?
